Cost of Living in America...

I find that the cost of living is really high in Boston.
I moved to Boston from Uganda, and I was hoping to be able to build a house at home. However this dream still eludes me. I have settled in Waltham in the Karibu restaurant area. However my two bedroom apartment one bath costs about $1,400 a month. This makes it really hard for me to save up any money.

I work as a CNA looking after an old lady, and I work at least 40 hrs a week. I do eventually hope to go to school but at the moment I really can not afford too. There are a lot of Ugandans living in Boston but I intend to return to Uganda someday. I am worried that my dream of coming to America in order to build a house in Uganda will never bare fruit.

I have given myself deadlines and seem to miss every single one of them. I am contemplating returning to Uganda and giving up this dream... Wow, go to Uganda and then what?

Where are the single Ugandan men?

I am a 36 year old Ugandan lady living in Boston who is interested in finding a decent Ugandan man to marry. However, there seems to be some unrealistic premium placed on the value of having a Ugandan man. I had to pull out my old commerce book to examine what is going on in US Ugandan community...

The law of supply and demand....
Ugandan men Vs Ugandan women in the US

There seems to be a low supply of "DECENT" Ugandan men...but a high DEMAND for them...

This is causing such a low Return on Investment..

The family values are disappearing...

Ugandan men are feeling like they are barrels of OIL...

Ugandan men are acting so slippery...

Ugandan men are changing hands everyday....

Ugandan men are demanding more from the Ugandan women and yet they are bringing in less in a relationship... FOOD 4 thought!

Philly Lutaaya

In the past year several artists have remade Philly Lutaaya songs. There is a lot of outrage by Philly Lutaaya fans about the project. Overall fans are not satifisied by the quality of the remade songs. Diana by Juliana Kanyomozi appears to be very popular among Ugandans living abroad.

There is a lot of confusion on why the songs were remade. Lutaaya fans think that this is a lack of innovation by remaking songs. However, it is not uncommon in music to have a song revised by numerous artists.

I support the Lutaaya Project and feel that the project was a great way to bring Lutaaya back into the homes of Ugandans.
